AS MENTIONED IN OUR FIRST ISSUE, THIS CHAPTER WAS ORIGINALLY MEANT TO FOCUS ON OUR BRAND-NEW OFFICE SPACE. HOWEVER, AS WITH ANY PROJECT, THINGS HAVEN’T GONE EXACTLY AS PLANNED, AND THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW OBSTACLES ALONG THE WAY. WHILE WE’VE SUCCESSFULLY MOVED INTO THE NEW SPACE, THERE’S STILL PLENTY TO DO—BUILDING FURNITURE, UNPACKING COUNTLESS BOXES, AND FINE-TUNING THE ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE NEXT CHAPTERS OF COLD WILL TAKE SHAPE. OUR NEW OFFICE IS TRULY THE DEFINITION OF A “WORK IN PROGRESS,” AND WE’RE LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT.

WITH EVERY COLLECTION, WE PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF OUR CAMPAIGNS UNDER THE MOTTO “THINKING BIG.” SO, FOR OUR LATEST DROP OF PUFFER JACKETS, WE HEADED TO ICELAND—A PLACE WHERE WINTER GEAR TRULY GETS TESTED. WHAT STARTED AS A BOLD CONTRAST TO OUR COLLECTION QUICKLY TURNED INTO SOMETHING ELSE: PURE MAGIC.
FROM THE NORTHERN LIGHTS TO ACTIVE VOLCANOES, GLACIERS, AND WATERFALLS, ICELAND SET A NEW STANDARD FOR US. EVERY MOMENT WAS TOO EXTRAORDINARY TO LET SLIP BY, SO WE CAPTURED IT ALL, FROM QUICK NOTES TO SPONTANEOUS PHOTOS. NOW, WE’RE EXCITED TO SHARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS FROM THAT JOURNEY WITH YOU.
[03]A NEW COLD ERA
AS THE MONTHS PASS AND WE CONTINUE WITH OUR DROPS, WE’VE DECIDED TO EVOLVE OUR BASE LOGO AND COLOR SCHEME TO ACHIEVE A MORE POWERFUL AND VISIONARY IMAGE. AFTER RESEARCH, MOOD BOARDS, AND BRAINSTORMING SESSIONS, WE CHOSE TO ADJUST THE TRACKING OF OUR ORIGINAL FONT AND SLIGHTLY TILT THE TEXT TO GIVE IT MORE DYNAMISM. IN SIMPLER TERMS, WE TIGHTENED THE LOGO AND SHIFTED IT SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT. WHILE IT MAY SEEM LIKE A SUBTLE CHANGE, IT BETTER REPRESENTS THE AESTHETIC WE WERE AIMING FOR: SOFTER, CLEANER, AND BRIGHTER, PERFECTLY ALIGNING WITH THE BRAND’S VISION.
WHEN IT CAME TO CREATING A NEW COLOR SCHEME, WE TOOK OUR TIME, KNOWING THAT A BRAND’S COLOR IS KEY TO INSTANT RECOGNITION. AFTER EXPERIMENTING WITH DARKER, COLDER PALETTES, WE REALIZED WE DIDN’T WANT TO BE TOO LITERAL. COLD CULTURE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT BRINGING THE UNEXPECTED TO LIFE, AND THAT’S WHAT GUIDED US TO OUR NEW PALETTE. THE SUBTLE RED WE’VE CHOSEN RADIATES INTENSITY AND COMMANDS ATTENTION WITH ITS VIBRANT WARMTH, EVOKING CONFIDENCE AND BOLDNESS AT EVERY GLANCE.
[04]NEW FIRES - NEW HIRES
IN ADDITION TO THE USUAL FIRES WE PUT OUT DAILY, OUR CONTINUED EXPANSION HAS BROUGHT NEW ONES TO THE FOREFRONT. MANAGING DEADLINES, BRAINSTORMING SESSIONS, AND CAMPAIGNS BECOMES MUCH SMOOTHER WITH MORE HANDS ON DECK, SO WE’VE TAKEN A BIG STEP BY WELCOMING SEVERAL NEW TEAM MEMBERS. WHILE YOU’RE LIKELY FAMILIAR WITH OUR EXTERNAL GROWTH, WE WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT HOW WE’RE ALSO EXPANDING INTERNALLY. THIS JOURNEY IS ONGOING, AND WE WOULDN’T BE WHERE WE ARE TODAY WITHOUT THE DEDICATION OF OUR TEAM — SOMETHING WE’RE PROUD TO EMPHASIZE.
[05]VALENCIA STORE OPENING
THE OPENING OF OUR NEW STORE IN VALENCIA MARKED A MILESTONE FOR US HERE AT COLD, WITH THE EVENT CAPTURING BOTH THE EVOLUTION OF THE SPACE AND THE EXCITEMENT OF THE ATTENDEES. THE STORE’S CONSTRUCTION PROCESS BEGAN WITH A FOCUS ON COMBINING OUR CORE STREETWEAR AESTHETIC WITH VALENCIA’S RICH URBAN CULTURE.
THE OPENING DAY WAS MET WITH A LONG LINE IN ANTICIPATION FOR THE NEW STOREFRONT AND WITH THE FIRST 50 IN THE QUEUE RECEIVING AN EXCLUSIVE GARMENT, AND AN EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK AT SOME PIECES FROM THE NEW COLLECTION WITH THE OVERALL RESPONSE TO THE STORE’S AESTHETIC AND ENERGY WAS OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE. GUESTS LEFT WITH A STRONG IMPRESSION OF OUR GROWING INFLUENCE IN THE LOCAL STREETWEAR SCENE, SETTING A NEW BENCHMARK FOR FUTURE STORE LAUNCHES.
